By the time the baby enters this world, his brain already consist of 100 billion brain cells and the wiring of these cells begins from the day of birth.

A baby makes use of his senses right from the time he experiences the world. Each experience in his life strengthens his brain development and mental ability to understand things around him. The amount of care and love baby receives, helps him to grow emotionally as well as socially.

The more care and nurture a parent gives to their baby, the more it will help him to develop his brain ability. For example, when a mother tries to talk to her baby, it helps him to develop language skills in the brain. Similarly, when parents play with their baby, they help to stimulate his brain development.

There are some activities that can help your baby brain development:

Talking to your baby

Talking with your baby helps to develop language skills in the brain. If this activity is not performed regularly, there can be delay in developing reading and language skills. It also helps to develop a strong bond with your baby.

Reading to your baby

Reading to your baby helps to develop varied skills such as language, listening and interpreting things. It even helps your baby to recognize your voice and differentiate other’s voice.

Bounce your baby

When your baby grows a few months older, you tend to play with him, bounce him, tickle him or even rock him in your arms. Such motions soothe your little baby. Such sense of touch and motions helps to promote early brain development.

Patty Cake

Playing games like patty cake has been a tradition among infants. They provide opportunities for imitation, touch, interaction and a chance for your baby to recognize your voice. Such games help in early brain development.

Blow Bubbles

When your baby is old enough, encourage him to reach for the bubbles or any other objects around him. Such kind of games will help to promote visual and physical co-ordination in your baby

These kinds of activities are incredibly important for your baby’s brain development. Try to be with your baby as much as you can and provide him the right amount of affection and care and help him to boost brain development.
