For Single new Moms

Babies’ safety during TravellingEveryone knows that being a single mother is the toughest job out there. I am myself a single mom having an 8 month old daughter named Jenny. It’s even more difficult with ongoing job and a new baby around. I am trying to reach out to all the new single moms who are striving hard to cope up with their newborn.

I am really enjoying my new life as a mother but being with a newborn has been challenging for me. Still somehow I managed to survive on my own and I am here to help you single mom’s out there.

Being single with a kid is a tough time. But if you’re determined to handle it on your own, then there is no one to stop you. I was afraid both financially and emotionally. I was afraid for my daughter’s future and career. As a single mom you have take care of each and every single thing that comes in your way. You have to look after your baby needs as well as your health.

For few weeks you have to completely dedicate your life for your baby. I managed to survive the first few days with my new born. I made a routine chart for my baby. It really does help when you are well prepared and organized. It’s kind of frustrating in the beginning but pretty soon you get the hang of it. Your morning starts with your baby and your day ends with your baby.

My daily routine started with my baby feeding. You have to be very keen whether your baby is hungry or full. Often check for wet diapers or your baby becomes fussy and cranky. Sometimes it becomes difficult to soothe your baby. With no one around to help, it was very difficult to console my baby at first. But once I got to know my daughters behavior and need, I managed to work my way out.

My little angel was not a fussy one which helped me a lot. Everyone kept on asking me that how are you going to manage with all these responsibilities. I just smiled at them and said I have confidence in my ability to be a mom. With all the doctors visit, to all the sleepless nights I had been through; everything now seems like a dream.

Single parenting can be challenging for all single mom like us, but its surely not a thing that a woman can’t handle.
